Question by bill t: Retirement money?
I am a self employed individual. I have a sub chapter s corp with no employees. I dont need to take much income from my company for a couple of years. I would like to be able to pay myself a small amount and put the rest in a retirement fund. How can this be done? Keoghs and seps have limits so what type of set up has no limits? Thanks

The corporation is a seperate entity. You are not self-employed, the S-Corp employes you. You are the Employee.

Your corporation needs to pay you a salary, and the board of directors (you), can authorize a 401K or other retirement plans. You can contact an investment company such as Scottrade (my favorite), or Fidelity to set up your retirement plans.

All retirement plans have some limits. The trick is check the IRS publications to see how much can come out of your pay for the plan you have chosen, and have the corporation do a company match for as much as possible.
